The presentation is titled Transgender affirmation, inclusion and equity on campus and it provides a strategy to meet those goals.
It can be challenging to get institutions of higher education to adopt policies and procedures necessary to create equity and inclusion for transgender people. It is especially important to remember that transgender people exist in all other communities and it is important to recognize these intersections of identity when pursuing policy and educational change. Higher education is however well positioned to help create a more affirming world far beyond the campus.
